The music of Malandro Ensemble is energetic, captivating, and full of life – a celebration of complex rhythms, rich harmonies, virtuoso playing, and a vibrant meeting of cultures. An eclectic ensemble that bridges South America, the Middle East, and the world of Jazz.
Persian melodies meet Venezuelan grooves, Brazilian vibes blend with Irish tones, and Funk dances with Jazz – all merging into one unique and colorful sound.
The group’s members have performed at major Jazz festivals in Israel and abroad and have collaborated with leading artists such as Matie Caspi, Yoni Rechter, Idan Raichel, Miki Gavrielov, and many others.
