Swim4Sadna is an annual fundraising event benefitting
the students and residents of Sadnat Shiluv in Gevaot.
This is our 14th year!
It’s an amazing experience, both on a personal and a communal level,
in which participants swim the Kinneret
and raise money for different projects in Sadnat Shiluv.
As a nation and country, while we are presently experiencing
many challenges and difficulties,
we are committed to continue to meet together
and increase the light and goodness in the world.
This year, the swimmers are raising funds to build
a rehabilitation daycare center for people who currently do not have
a supportive framework that is appropriate and accessible,
one that meets their needs socially, communally, therapeutically and occupationally.

So how do I sign up? What goes on at the swimathon?
How do I raise funds?

💙 Swimming routes to choose from:
2km route – starts from Yarden Kinneret Beach
4km route – starts from Yarden Kinneret Beach (recommend for experienced swimmers only)
Both routes finish at Yarden Kinneret Beach
💙 Registration fee - 400 NIS
The registration fee includes:
transportation, swimmer’s kit, insurance,
accommodation: new this year – compound with huge tents on Yarden Kinneret Beach
(with mattresses, in the women’s area only;
swimmers are responsible for bringing any other camping equipment themselves),
dinner, breakfast after the swim, rental of a safety buoy.
💙 The event begins on Thursday afternoon atYarden Kinneret Beach,
where you’ll receive a swimmer’s kit, and enjoy dinner.
The Kinneret swim takes place on Friday morning -
from the Yarden Kinneret Beach.
The event ends at Yarden Kinneret Beach.

💙 Bus times and routes will be determined according to the number of registrants.
When purchasing your ticket, please choose a bus pick-up point.
There is no commitment that there will be buses leaving from all stations.
The final times will be sent about a week before the swimathon and there will be the option for changes.
💙 Due to safety requirements, all swimmers must swim with a buoy,
that swimmers will receive on loan.
You can also purchase your own buoy for 55 NIS (cost price).
💙 Swim4Sadna provides free accommodation
at a special compound at Yarden Kinneret Beach –
with huge tents and mattresses, in the women’s area only.
Swimmers are responsible for bringing any other camping equipment themselves.
This is limited to the first 180 registrants.
Glamping accommodation at HaOn Beach must be booked individually.

💙 Companions are welcome: see the details below.
How is the money raised?
Each swimmer commits to raising at least 2500 NIS For Sadnat Shiluv,
via their JGIVE fundraising page
(which will be opened for each swimmer upon registration).
💙 You can’t swim without raising the money.
You can send your personal link to your friends and family,
and give them the opportunity to be part of this important project.
From our experience it's easy and people want to be part of your project to do good.
We will give you tips and support along the way in a designated WhatsApp group.
Can a few swimmers raise money together? For sure!
Once the whole group finishes registering individually,
please send us an email with the names of the group members to: tal@swim4sadna.org
The amount you need to raise as a group is 2500 NIS
multiplied by the number of group members.
You will receive your fundraising link by email and text message
within 24 hours of registration.

Information about Sadnat Shiluv and the rehabilitation daycare center:
Sadnat Shiluv is an educational institution for youth and adults with special needs
located in the community of Gevaot in Gush Etzion.
It comprises two schools that develop and customize learning materials
for individuals with various levels of functioning,
as well as community-based integrated housing arrangements,
and a multi-faceted employment network that includes agriculture,
animal therapy, art, and the operation of a social café.
This year, the swimmers are raising funds to build
a daycare center for adults with special needs who do not currently
have an accessible supportive framework that is appropriate to their needs –
socially, communally, therapeutically and occupationally
. For the daycare center to operate optimally we also need to purchase
the specific therapeutic equipment and accessories the center requires.
The donations raised will enable us to enrich the world of the
residents and provide them with medical and para-medical therapies and services
– such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy –
as well as sheltered-employment work rooms,
treatment plans for functional independence,
and extra-curricular activities incorporating local youth and senior citizens.
Beyond the construction of the building,
the cost of setting up and equipping the treatment and employment rooms
exceeds one million shekels.
Thanks to Swim4Sadna 2024,
we will be able to make this happen and allow adults
with special needs and disabilities to be integrated into the community,
to live full lives and to receive the therapy they need.

4km route – starting at 6:00 am at Yarden Kinneret Beach
2km route – starting 6:15 am at Yarden Kinneret Beach

Bus transportation (leaving around 11:00 am)
💙 Buses will depart from:
Gush Etzion, Beit Shemesh, Yad Binyamin, Latrun, Rosh Hayin train station,
and Jerusalem (subject to changes).
If you are interested in bus transportation,
please indicate a boarding station when registering.
A detailed schedule will be sent a week before the swimathon.
💙 Accommodation Options:
1. *NEW!* Yarden Kinneret compound – free for swimmers.
Huge tents with mattresses, in the women’s area only.
Swimmers are responsible for bringing any other camping equipment themselves.
Limited to the first 180 registrants.
In addition, there will be the option to camp
in the regular Yarden Kinneret campsite (mixed or family camping).
Swimmers are responsible for bringing their own camping equipment.
2. Yarden Kinneret compound or campsite for companions:
Tickets must be purchased for each companion.
Entry to the area will not be allowed without a ticket.
Note! The compound area is meant for women only and not for families!
Limited to the first 180 registrants.
In addition, there will be the option to camp in the regular Yarden Kinneret campsite
– which is for families as well.
Tickets must also be purchased for meals and transportation for companions.

3. Glamping at HaOn Beach
Glamping accommodation at HaOn Beach must be booked individually.

The glamping complex has 25 air-conditioned tents with double beds.
You can add up to 4 extra mattresses.
The new complex is clean and spacious, and has 12 showers,
12 bathrooms, seating areas, and a communal kitchen.
💙 What if I want to come with a companion?
Great! Whoever wants to come and support you is welcome.
Guests need to purchase tickets in advance:
Bus transportation – 40 NIS each way
Dinner at HaOn Beach – 65 NIS
Light breakfast station for guests at Yarden Kinneret Beach at the end of the swim – 35 NIS
Yarden Kinneret camping in the family area – 40 NIS
Special large tent compound on Yarden Kinneret Beach for companions: 40
> Tickets must be purchased for each companion.
> It will not be possible to enter the accommodation complex without a ticket.
> Note! The special compound is intended for women only and not for families!
> Make sure to order the appropriate ticket.
> The special compound is limited to the first 180 registrants.
Aside from that, there is the regular Yarden Kinneret campsite –
which is also intended for families.
💙 Important notes: :
Companion tickets–- you must print or bring a digital copy
of the companion ticket in order to receive the selected services
(transportation / camping in the family area / dinner / breakfast).
To maintain swimmers' privacy, men will be able to come to the family area only
but not to the starting or finishing areas.
The special tent compound on Yarden Kinneret Beach and
the glamping complex on HaOn beach are designated for women only.
